They were looking at a movie I did called Cooley High. He was like, People are not understanding what I mean. Now it seems hes not understanding what trans people mean. So I was heading to their office to give them a piece of my mind. Peggy Lipton. New York asked playwrights from each borough to write a play for each borough, and I wrote a play for Brooklyn for schoolkids called Stagger Lee. [Laughs.] at age 37, he was tapped to join a brand-new show called 'Saturday Night Live.'. "If you're thinking what you gotta do the next day, your body's gonna say, 'Let me be here to do that,' right? By the time I got to Saturday Night Live, I had written two plays, one commissioned by the city of New York. [Laughs.] In spite of a number of life-threatening situations, the actor, comedian and singer is still going strong. That led to him seeing Cooley High, where he saw me act, so he asked me to audition. [Laughs.] Arriving from a Jamaican vacation just a few minutes before the show began, Garrett Morris takes the stage to sing "Nur Wer Die Sehnsucht" in clam digger pants to impress a girl in the audience. GM: Yes! And John Belushi, Gilda Radner, Laraine, Jane, all of them said, Garrett should be on camera. Yeah. On Halloween, she has a mansion she lives at in New Orleans. But I found out that bitch was a hermaphrodite, and she had a penis about a mile long, and she shoved it up my ass said, Im going to keep it there for 30 years. And she did. Ive seen it. I mentioned my friend Deacon Jones earlier, and he went to audition for a film that was going to have a blues singer in it. So word was getting around that I wasnt producing. The underrated Garrett Morris delivers the powerful lead vocal, and there's something magical about the moment when the boys Chevy, Aykroyd, Belushi come in for support.
